1. 5+ years of experience servicing burglar, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
2. Experience working with a variety of panels – ex DMP, Honeywell, DSC, Bosch, Radiant, Digital Watch Dog
3. Detail oriented with strong customer service skills.

The Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who is responsible for alleviating concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. The Service Technician advises customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections.

MUST HAVE:
• Reliable transportation – Must be able to pass a driving background and fit equipment and ladders.
• Ladders – Expected to have a 8-12 foot ladder as well as a 24 foot extension.
• Basic Hand Tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

This will start out as 3 days a week work, they can expand and add additional days as work picks up.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and service of low voltage systems in accordance installation standards, the National Electric Code, manufacturer’s instructions, and Safety Policy
• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Comfortable with a wide variety of panels - DMP, Honeywell, DSC, Bosch, Radiant, Digital Watch Dog, Fire Lite, Access Control, etc.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Provide training and support to less senior technicians
• Ability to work in a high stress environment and able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
• Experience with hand tools and various power tools.
• Able to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as customers.
• Able to work independently, with little or no supervision while still providing a team-oriented attitude.
