Security Install and Service Technician Job at TEKsystems in West Palm Beach

We are seeking an Install Technician to become a part of our team! You will assist with the installation and service of Security and Fire Alarm systems in a commercial environment. Technician must have the ability to use personal vehicle, as a company vehicle may not be immediately available.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with installation of security systems - Access/CCTV (preferred) or fire alarms
• Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras and alarm points to any system
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty.
• Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing systems and/or equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Track all equipment and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters.
• Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
• Experience running wire, trimming devices, mounting/hanging devices.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well in teams
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
