SECURITY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT INC is hiring: Security Guard in Santa Barbara

We are seeking a Unarmed Security Guard with a secret level or higher clearance for the Vandenberg SFB project to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will escort contractors at the version job site and around the facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Security guards patrol the premises to deter criminals and ensure the safety of the environment
• Security guards control access to entry. They may also screen visitors and bags for weapons and explosives
• Security guards monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and other security systems
• Security guards respond to emergencies, such as evacuations, and may perform first aid if certified
• Security guards enforce rules and regulations and evict trespassers
• Security guards write reports on their observations and any incidents that occurred
• Security guards provide customer service to employees and visitors

​Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• Have a security guard license
• Previous experience in security or other related fields
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to make quick decisions in stressful situations
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical fit to perform assigned tasks
