Our client is looking to hire an Information Security Engineer to join their cybersecurity team.


This role requires a professional with 5+ years of cybersecurity experience to support cloud security (AWS & Azure), secure cloud integrations with GitLab, and security automation efforts. The individual will collaborate closely with DevOps and Application Development teams to enhance security processes and reporting.


This is a hybrid role in San Francisco, California (2-3 days/week) No Visa Sponsorship or Transfers Available. No C2C*


Responsibilities

60% Security Engineering

  • Interact with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to manage and integrate resources.
  • Gather data from security sources to generate transparent reports for stakeholders, enhancing data utilization.
  • Support cloud deployment efforts, including integration with GitLab, GitHub, or similar platforms, and automate cloud-based tools.
  • Facilitate cloud integration with GitLab, GitHub, or similar platforms, automating tools and generating reports.


40% Cyber Software Engineering / Secure Development

  • Engage with the software development process and guide secure development practices.
  • Contribute to codebases to address issues and enhance security.
  • Conduct threat modeling on the codebase and architecture.
  • Program and write scripts to automate recurring tasks.
  • Stay updated on various programming languages.


Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer.
  2. Proven experience in a multi-cloud environment, including AWS and Azure.
  3. Experience with secure cloud integrations using platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or similar.
  4. Proficiency in coding and scripting, with knowledge of multiple languages (Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell, C++, SQL).
  5. U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
