Amentum is seeking a Security Lieutenant in the Las Vegas, NV area. Purpose and Scope: The Security Lieutenant is responsible for the oversight of all security operations in the successful development and management of a viable security program to include all personnel, material, training, and operational requirements for the program. Actively supports and upholds vision, mission and values. Essential Responsibilities: Adequately address physical security and to request support as situations warrant Ensure strict compliance to the appropriate orders and guidance pertaining to armed guards Ensure the proper accountability, maintenance, and repair of property and equipment assigned to security personnel Mentor and manage of subordinate security personnel Ensure that all security personnel are properly trained and equipped to function in their assigned positions. Prepare, complete, or revise Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plans, and Training Plans as necessary Performance of a continual assessment of the security situation to ensure optimum utilization of security assets and the maximum protection of company personnel and ammunition assets Ensure that proper information exchange regarding threat situations or heightened security requirements occur during shift briefings Maintain records management system pertaining to security operations Maintain daily communications with subordinate security site personnel to track activities, to identify problems and/or issues, and to ensure customer satisfaction Provide briefings/presentations outlining capabilities in response to business opportunities when necessary, or required Provide briefings to the customer and act as the company/corporate security representative Maintain a viable key control program for all vehicle, supply and equipment storage, ammunition storage, and housing keys Ensure proper company and project vehicle operator policies are enforced Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must have ability to clearly and effectively communicate company practices with executives, clients, and employees. Must comply with AFI 31-117, Arming and Use of Force by Air Force Personnel, 17 Mar 2015. Must have valid driver's license, must be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language. Must have experience in planning, evaluating, analyzing and implementing security-type program, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force required. Must be able to pass a detailed medical evaluation. If former military, must have received an honorable discharge. Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract. Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and oral presentation skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organization skills Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously Strong initiative Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements. Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Ability to occasionally work in harsh conditions; outdoors and/or in extreme temperatures. Must be able to work outside a normal schedule, when needs arise.
