POSITION: Security Officer

REPORTS TO: Security Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Security Officer will be responsible to maintain high standards of safety and security at the facility. The expectation is that he/she will provide protection to the organization's employees, inventory, and assets.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Analyze and regularly reevaluate safety/security needs of the organization and ensure that they are met with the proper equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor production and ensure compliance with state regulations regarding security.
  • Help develop and execute a yearly facility budget for security.
  • Manage deliveries carefully, to minimize risk involved.
  • Regularly reassess the SOPs to ensure they align with the organizations and governing body's safety and security standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, regulators, city officials and the like.
  • Prepare the facility and staff to respond to emergency situations.
  • Manage and maintain access control for employees and visitors/contractors.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of experience in security
  • Military experience preferred.
  • Trained on use of force (lethal/less lethal)
  • Loss prevention experience
  • Computer literate with advanced understanding of video/access control systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to lift 50 - 60 lbs

Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close vision and distant vision.
