POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Officer is responsible to positively impact the safety and security of the company assets to include guests and Team Members while maintaining guest satisfaction and support the casino core values of Fun, Friendly and Community. He/She will demonstrate Hometown Hospitality and delivering Fun while enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan as well as adherence to Internal Control Procedures.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive:

1. Attend daily briefings and meeting, being on time and participating in a positive manner.
2. Ensure the smooth operation of the Security Department through following prescribed policies and procedure as well as adhering and enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan and complying with Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
3. Responsible for writing reports in a clear and concise manner noting only factual information without interjection of one’s personal opinion.
4. Respond to all non-routine incidents taking appropriate actions and making the proper notifications.
5. Performs currency transports in accordance with casino procedures.
6. Maintains a professional appearance.
7. Communicates with other security personnel via two-way radios, using established "10-codes".
8. Ensure quick, fair and consistent results to customer complaints.
9. Safeguard property assets.
10. May be responsible to First Aid situations to administer CPR.
11. Must adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations including, but not limited to, Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting and Customer Identification requirements.
12. Ensure the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
13. Responsible for proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
14. Responsible for communication within the department ensuring that information is shared with Team Members.
15. Inform security senior management team of information necessary to the efficient operation of the casino.
16. Deliver Hometown Hospitality and deliver Fun as well as live the core values of Fun, Friendly and Community.
17. Conduct him/her in a gracious, kind and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values of Fun, Family and Community.
18. Perform other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
• Regularly walk and work on feet to complete assigned shifts; talk and hear.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas.
• Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of team members as well as outside contacts.
• Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with guests and Team Members; and, possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff.
• Be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling or certification required; related on the job experience may be considered in lieu of formal training. Previous security, military or civilian police officer training and/or experience required. Ability to: read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests and the general public. Maintain confidential information.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

• Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
• Obtain required license(s).
• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
• Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
• Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
• Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the state regulations and Systems of Internal Controls.
• Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
• Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
