Description
Security Officers aid in the protection of persons and property for CARTI. This includes employees, CARTI guests, vendors and vendor companies. CARTI Officers are not armed and have no non-lethal weapons. The Officer will be protecting staff at the facility and the vehicles in the parking lot. This includes responses to calls for emergency assistance involving violence, loitering, suspicious activity in the parking lot, crime scene preservation, domestic disputes, fires, natural disasters, internal and external emergency situations, court testimony, and other issues. Security Officers are to use the highest level of customer service while working on site. Security Officers will submit daily logs, and incident logs for any incident that may occur while on duty. Provide assistance to local police responding on campus, along with fire and MEMS escorts.
This position will be at the Russellville Cancer Center. The hours for the position will be 5:00am to 1:30pm Monday through Friday.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Protecting staff and property at CARTI locations
- Submitting records of events daily
- Be able to recognize and diffuse situations before they escalate. Be proactive in the approach
- Proficient with MS Office: Word and Excel
- Organizational skills for efficient control
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Solid decision making skills.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- 4 years' experience with a background in security, enforcement, and/or military, preferred.
- Customer Service is required, especially in stressful situations.
- Must be able to observe and report all activities, and know who to contact for each event.
