Find out more at www.aestrategies.com. Overview The Personnel Security Specialist will join an established AE Strategies team to support a senior Department of the Navy (DON) headquarters office. This position requires some onsite presence at the Washington Navy Yard, with potential opportunities for regular telework. Specific responsibilities will include the following: Assist federal personnel security specialists in the adjudication of background investigations for suitability and fitness for employment with the government. Assist with the process of monitoring, tracking, reviewing, analyzing, adjudication, and compiling results of completed Background Investigations. Understand and interpret data retrieved from the Personnel Investigation Processing System (PIPS), Central Verification System (CVS), National Crime Information System (NCIC), or file share software and other personnel security related databases. Evaluate employee and position security/clearance requirements to ensure compliance with DON and DoD policies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required. Completion for the OPM Training Course “The Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators” preferred but not required. Three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience with federal personnel security program administration, e-QIP, Consolidated Adjudication Services (CAF) interaction. Knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS). Highly proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Proficient in MS Teams. Eligibility for Secret Clearance. US Citizenship.
