This opportunity is full-time during first shift.
In this role, you will:
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
- Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
- Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
- Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
- Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle - rain or shine!
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
- Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
- Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection , processing and operating conventional vehicles for business purposes. This includes cars, trucks, and/or vans.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
