This is a PRN (As Needed) Varied Shift, position for an experienced phlebotomist at Oro Valley Hospital!

+ Shift Differential for Night/Evening Shifts!

Collects and labels all specimens requiring testing in the clinical laboratory. Performs order entry of tests as necessary. Ensures that specimens are routed to appropriate areas for testing. Performs waived complexity testing as required under the direction of a staff technologist. Processes all specimens for reference laboratory testing.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Experience:

Two years previous phlebotomy experience in a health care setting
OR certification as a phlebotomist through an accredited program
OR, For internal candidates, 1 year experience as a Northwest Healthcare Laboratory Assistant I

Licenses/Certifications:

Required:
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS
Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
