Cashier/Customer Service candidates for our Springerville, Arizona location.

What Does a Cashier/Customer Service Team Member Do?
- Provides outstanding customer service by greeting customers, assisting with their needs, and expressing appreciation for their business
- Processes customer transactions accurately and follows proper cash-handling protocols
- Offers personalized product recommendations, helping customers select hardware and lumber items that suit their needs
- Actively engages with customers to upsell complementary products and promote special offers
- Answers phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and providing assistance
- Promotes the Do It Best rewards program, encouraging participation to build customer loyalty
- Adheres to company policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and exceed customer expectations
- Continuously expands knowledge of products and projects to enhance customer interactions and identify sales opportunities
- Resolves customer concerns effectively with the guidance and support of management
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Cashier/Customer Service Team Member?
- Proficiency in using computers and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Proven experience in hardware/lumber sales, retail, or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of hardware products, applications, and troubleshooting techniques desired
- Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
- Strong interpersonal skills with the willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 pounds, as well as perform tasks like bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching throughout the work shift
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to accommodate the needs of the business
