Job Description
SIAA (Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance) is a national alliance of independent insurance agency members generating billions in new premium business annually. The foundation of the SIAA alliance is built on partnerships between SIAA, its 48 master agencies, insurance companies, and independent strategic members. SIAA is dedicated to the creation, retention, growth, and evolution of the independent insurance agency distribution system.
SAN Group (SIAA's founding Master Agency) has a new opportunity within their DeForest Group division for a highly organized and detail-oriented Property and Casualty Customer Service Representative located in New England/New York State area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong understanding of property and casualty insurance policies. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, assisting with policy inquires, and maintaining accurate records.
The Day to Day
- Answering phone calls and emails from clients and servicing inquires related to their insurance policies placed through our placement division.
- Processing policy changes, renewals, cancellations, payments, and other transactions as requested by agents.
- Assisting with issuance of binders, certificates of insurance and provides identification cards as necessary.
- Reviewing and verifying customer information and documents for accuracy and completeness
- Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and courteous manner
- Maintaining and updating customer records and databases
- Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborating with agents, underwriters, and other departments to provide quality service and support to clients.
- Staying updated on the latest insurance trends, regulations, and products
- Participates in all department meetings.
- Provides back-up for department staff as needed.
- Works collaboratively with others (internally and externally) to achieve common objects, goals and results.
- Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Performs other duties as directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Property and Casualty License Required.
- Applied Epic management system experience a plus.
