Compensation: $45/hour to $47/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Operations Supervisor to join our team in Urbandale, IA. In this role, you will lead a team of junior professionals and support staff within our accounting operations department. You will oversee the service delivery of various accounting functions, ensuring the smooth execution of accounting services within a specific geographic hub. If you are a strong leader with a background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and operations management, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a team of junior professionals and support-level employees, including entry-level supervisors.
Set clear goals and objectives for team members, ensuring alignment with operational results and company objectives.
Manage week-to-week operational activities, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Oversee hub service delivery for various accounting services, including global consolidations, corporate accounting, and financial reporting.
Ensure effective execution of key accounting functions within a designated geographic hub, including:
Fiduciary management
Cash control and treasury functions
Accounts payable and general ledger oversight
Consolidations and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, maintaining accurate and timely accounting records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Provide ongoing support and coaching to team members, fostering professional development and a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and corporate accounting.
Previous experience supervising or leading a team in an accounting or finance-related role.
Strong knowledge of accounting processes, including general ledger, consolidations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to success.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
