Our client is offering an exciting opportunity in Irmo, South Carolina, for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial results, and maintaining compliance with US GAAP. The role also involves regular liaison with various teams, decision-making, implementing operational improvements, and understanding business processes to speak to financial results.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of ledgers reported under US GAAP, in line with the corporate calendar.

• Oversee the operations control environment, continuously monitor for improvements, and lead the implementation of improvements.

• Build partnerships with key stakeholders to address new issues as they arise and provide advice for resolution.

• Lead the development and enhancement of operational accounting systems, processes, and procedures.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Liaise with the Corporate Accounting team on month-end close and technical accounting matters.

• Provide meaningful insight and analysis of financial results to management.

• Present monthly P& L and BS Variance analytics to management.

• Prepare/review account reconciliations.

• Liaise with Treasury on banking issues, as required.

• Position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Ability to manage and oversee all accounting functions is essential.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required, along with month end close.

• Expertise in QuickBooks software is highly valued.
