Currently we are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team and be an essential part of our manufacturing team. This person will assist with various financial tasks, including cash receipts, invoicing, and accounts payable. This role is integral to ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations within the company. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to maintain financial records and ensure that transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Your Role in Our Mission:

  • Record and apply daily cash receipts to the correct accounts.
  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in cash transactions.
  • Prepare and deposit payments, ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
  • Maintain detailed cash receipts logs and support reconciliation processes.
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • nsure all invoices are complete, accurate, and meet company standards.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all invoices and related communications.
  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
  • Prepare payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed on time.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable files and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support month end and year end closing processes by ensuring timely data entry.
  • Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation for cash receipts, invoicing, and accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial transactions.
To Perform this Job Successfully:
  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related role, preferably in cash receipts, invoicing, and accounts payable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ensures accuracy in processing financial data and maintaining records.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of resolving discrepancies in financial transactions.
  • Works well with cross functional teams and contributes to team success.
