Job Description Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Temporary Accountant Specialist to support Bluewater’s accounting team in managing essential accounting tasks, from reconciliations to financial report preparation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of general accounting principles, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Due to a high volume of current projects, Bluewater is in urgent need of a skilled temporary accounting specialist. Our team is handling multiple concurrent initiatives that require immediate support to maintain quality and timely deliverables. Your expertise will help keep critical financial operations running smoothly during this pivotal time. We're looking for someone with quick availability and maintain a 9a-5p Mon-Fri schedule. We are responding to applications within a business-day so expect telephone or email communication from the HR Representative.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key Responsibilities Tasks/projects subject to need but may include the following
• Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments, deductions, and records.
• Billing & Accounts Receivable: Oversee billing processes, including invoice generation and follow-ups, to maintain strong client relationships and timely collections.
• Accounts Payable: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts, and troubleshooting discrepancies
• Reconciliation: Credit card reconciliations such as for employee expense accounts. Accurately check our prepay records vs the invoices clients send
• Prepayments & Accruals: Review, verify, and adjust prepayment records and accruals to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Expense Tracking: Track and categorize company expenses, ensuring timely submissions and reconciliations.
WHO YOU ARE
Position Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
• Availability: Immediate and quick hiring process. Schedule 9am – 5pm with potential for overtime
• Experience Preferred: 2 to 4 years of accounting experience, adept with temporary projects and quick learning skills
• Analytical Mathematical Skills: Strong problem-solving and mathematic experience.
• Communication Skills: Experienced in fast paced environment in a group-shared space.
• Extra Credentials: Experience with Workamjig – Project Management System
