Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly end close process to ensure accurate and timely completion of procedures
• Issue accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Maintain inventory standard cost system and provide analysis on costing variances
• Manage daily accounts payable and receivable activities
• Understand treasury processes with regards to incoming and outgoing payments
• Ensure company compliance with all sales tax reporting requirements
• Establish, maintain and re-evaluate internal controls and company policies to ensure the integrity of the financial system and transactions
• Oversee accounting for various entities
• Maintain an understanding of accounting standards and stay up-to-date with changes as they apply to the company
• Assist with ERP implementation, ensuring the integrity of all software systems connected to ERP.
• Create a financial policy manual for all significant financial statement items
• Ensure all accounting operations and processes have standard work instructions documented for each team member’s tasks.
• Must hold a minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting management or supervisory roles
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Must have a solid understanding of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in auditing and billing functions is a must
• Proficiency in using NetSuite is required
• Must have experience with software implementations
• Knowledge in the manufacturing and distribution management sector is a plus
• Familiarity with inventory cycles and month-end close procedures
• Management skills and experience are needed
• Must have experience with Annual Standard Cost, Continuous processes, and Business Process Functions
• Knowledge of process controls and ensuring processes are accurate is necessary.
