Wolfers is seeking full-time, experienced Accounting Manager to join our team! The accounting manager’s primary function serves as the nucleus for all finance and accounting functions. A solid candidate will be able to leverage existing accounting and finance experience in a small business environment where intelligence, people skills, and cost consciousness are critical.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our rapid expansion requires better financial and accounting capabilities customary to a more complex and sizeable business. This role will require the candidate to begin to affect positive change within the company immediately and direct financial activities, such as planning, procurement, and investments for all or part of the organization. Experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all financial and accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Accounting Manager will report to the Regional Controller with the Flint Group.

Requirements:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting principles.
  • Establish and maintain all necessary reporting and financial analysis tools to accurately manage day to day operation and long-term planning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company.
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
  • Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
  • Lead and complete monthly financial closing.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (B/S, I/S, and C/F).
  • Work with external audit firm to complete the annual financial review

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Economics and Accounting— Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Administration and Management?— Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role at a $10M+ revenue company or national accounting firm.?
  • Strong Proficiency in web-based accounting software and Excel skills
  • 3+ years overseeing direct reports.
  • Exposure to service industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
  • Proven implementation and execution abilities, and the ability to take ownership of key decision processes.
  • Ability to identify and capture cost savings.
