SMC Corporation of America is hiring: Accounting Clerk III in Noblesville

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Accounting Clerk III is to process all non-inventory related operating expenses for timely and accurate payment of invoices and posting of operating expenses to the appropriate financial sub-ledger. This role is also critical as it must assess validity of invoices (legitimate third parties), that they were properly authorized per appropriate corporate policies, and that they are charged to the correct department, location, and account.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Day-to-day processing of non-inventory accounts payable.
• Process all non-inventory purchase order invoices in AP system.
• Process all invoice-only non-inventory payables.
• Assist with all month-end closing processes for non-inventory payables.
• Match all non-inventory payments with supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of spreadsheets or any other analysis requested by supervisor.
• Assist on projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Reconcile expense-related accounts as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma required
• 2-3 years of Accounting experience preferred.
• Spreadsheet and word processing skills required
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and vendors is a must
• Attention to detail and high-degree of accuracy required.
• Experience with Infor SyteLine accounting software
• Manufacturing experience with multi-location organization is a plus.
