Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The Financial Accounting Manager will play an important role in leading the finance department.  The position sets direction, enforces internal controls, develops associates in the department, and provides support for the organization. 

  • Lead and develop a 2-4 finance personnel, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Assists with tax preparation which could include, but is not limited to, R&D tax credits, annual federal and state income tax, sales tax, and international transfer pricing.
  • Integral to the month end close process working to push for efficient processes and performs analysis of balance sheet, P&L and cash.
  • Works with the team to develop forecasts and budgets including P&L at the product line level, cash flow, and balance sheet.
  • Supports specific cross functional teams as assigned.  Includes reporting and analysis of financial data as well as general guidance for the team.
  • Responsible for internal controls, their development, testing, and improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.
  • Enhance and develop processes and procedures for the finance team.
  • Leads external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Interpersonal skills / organizational agility - ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Conflict resolution - Be able to have hard discussions with peers and resolve issues
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA


Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary for this position is $130,000-$160,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
