Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Accounting Coordinator to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial operations. This role offers opportunities for growth into a management position, as you will develop skills to eventually take on more complex accounting tasks and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry into the general ledger.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing basic financial reports.
- Support compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the Bookkeeper and Accounting Administrator to streamline accounting processes.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities under supervision.
- Learn and assist with the utilization of the NetSuite accounting system and other integrated business systems.
- Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Communicate basic financial updates and insights to team members and stakeholders.
- Assist with tax filings and ensure basic compliance with relevant regulations.
Reporting and Team Structure:
- Report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the Bookkeeper and Accounting Administrator.
- No direct supervisory responsibilities, but opportunities to grow into managing junior staff as experience increases.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
