WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

The role of the Analyst on the Finance & Operations (FAO) team is critical to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Fremont Group’s investment vehicles. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of accounting records and the timely execution of financial transactions. By supporting the accounting and operational needs of multi-strategy private equity investment funds, the Analyst directly contributes to the integrity of the Funds’ financial statements, which are foundational to informed decision-making by our investment teams, executive leadership, and clients.

This role is essential not only for internal operations but also for upholding the integrity of the financial data we share with our clients. By ensuring that all transactions are meticulously recorded and reported, the Analyst helps maintain the trust and confidence that our clients place in Fremont's management of their investments.

Ultimately, this role drives the mission of Fremont by ensuring that all financial activities align with the strategic goals of the organization, contributing to the long-term success and growth of the firm.

This role is essential to ensuring that accounting records are meticulously maintained, financial statements are reliable, and FAO operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence, proactively address potential accounting issues, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of operational processes, ultimately driving greater efficiency and precision across the board.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

The success of Fund Accounting and Operations at Fremont Group relies heavily on accuracy and integrity of fund accounting data, efficiency, care and collaboration with other teams driving Fremont Group mission.

The following outlines the tangible contributions of a successful candidate within the typical life cycle of an Analyst at Fremont Group.

The Analyst will support the day-to-day efforts of the broader FAO team. Initially they will be assigned to assist with the accounting and operational needs of a ~$1.9B multi-strategy private equity investment fund and related underlying private fund vehicles. Assignments and responsibilities detailed here are subject to change based on the needs of the broader FAO team.

  1. Save and catalogue any documents related to fund investments within the firm’s instance of Microsoft SharePoint
  2. Retrieve, save, and catalogue bank statements
  3. Monitor monthly cash transactions with custodian bank and reconcile bank accounts
  4. Maintain books/records within Sage Intacct and/or Allvue along with supporting workpapers
  5. Support interim quarter-end accounting closes and reporting
  6. Assist with providing cash flow forecasting as needed
  7. Support preparation of year-end audited financial statements

The FAO team works cross-functionally with various departments, including Investment Teams, Executive Leadership, Strategic Finance and Analytics, Tax, and Legal. Our work also directly impacts Client Services accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Fremont’s clients.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Fremont offers highly competitive compensation packages, commensurate with related work experience and education.
