This position is responsible for the posting function of the bank's Bond Portfolio. This position is responsible for Accounts Payable and Item Entry for Institution 11 (Bancorp) and Item Entry for Institution 02,11,14,and 15; scanning and posting Accounts Payable invoices for Institution 02; and functions of the Prologue accounting system.Job Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Responsible for day to day balancing of all applications including but not limited to the following: DDA/SAV/COD/DDL/LAS, in-process general ledger accounts, correspondent bank accounts, cashier’s checks, money orders, stale dated items, interest checks, and the Federal Reserve Bank correspondent account. Update Ceto data daily and update SAV & COD balances daily for the controller.Responsible for balancing Bank-Controlled Accounts, FHLB stock and FRB stock. Receive and review branch reconciliations. Maintain files to document and support proper Internal Controls.Responsible for running and creating deposit application Business Analytics reports as needed for Operations, Accounting, Audit and/or End-of-Year.Responsible for assisting with gathering of information for auditors and examiners.Responsible for assisting the Controller with annual budget input into Vantage.Responsible for the Bond Accounting System and the FHN Portfolio including but not limited to posting payments, recording buys and sells, item entry and month-end accrual entries. Communicate changes/adds/pledges, etc. to FHN and FHLB Safe keep direct as needed.Responsible for aspects of Accounts Payable including the following: Import Invoices into Prologue; inputs the payable into Accounts Payable; gives invoices to Accounting Officer for review and posting; processes all Purchase Orders; codes Executive Officer credit card invoices; balances Check Reconciliation System (CRS) module, which includes the balancing of expense checks and Accounts Payable in Process general ledger account daily. Process end of year 1099 NEC and Misc. and complete the affirmative action vendor report over $50,000.Responsible for input of dividend amount/stockholder information into the shareholder program. Processes dividend checks and sends them to Shareholders quarterly. Run end-of-year processing of Form 1099 dividends. Complete change of address, transfer of stock and shareholder changes.Responsible for Prologue duties including clearing FMS nonpost daily and creating reports.Responsible for item input and balancing of Branch Clearings and OPP/OREO.Responsible for Back-up function of payroll operations for the bank including the following: input, balancing, and processing on a bi-monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; complete monthly and quarterly expense reconcilement and submitting to the Controller for internal controls review.Responsible for Back-up prepaids/payables and fixed assets.Responsible for balancing credit life accounts including receiving Bank’s commission checks, processing, and pay employee commission payments.Responsible for annual investments review for CFO.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.
