Accounting Specialist Job at KaiPerm Northwest Credit Union in Portland

What you will be doing

• You will report directly to the VP of Accounting.
• You will backup the VP of Accounting. Duties include reconcilement of the general ledger accounts, analyzing balance sheet and the income statement, managing cash flow, paying expenses, asset liability management, recommending investments, preparing of monthly financial statement and previewing the Board of Director packet.
• You will work five days a week:

Monday – Thursday: 8:15 am – 5:15 pm

Friday: 8:45 am – 6:15 pm

What you need to be successful

• College degree in accounting or relevant business degree
• Preferred five year’s work history in an accounting department doing multiple accounting functions such as bank, general ledger and subsidiary account reconcilement
• Strong computer skills, ten key and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• A strong work ethic and an ability to succeed in an extremely competitive banking environment
• Skills to analyze new products, determine technological options and make risk versus reward choices.
