POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Provide direct, high-level complex executive assistance and serve as the principal communication liaison to the Medical Director.
  • The Executive Assistant has high visibility throughout UW Medicine.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides complex scheduling of meetings.
  • Maintains calendars.
  • Takes effective meeting minutes.
  • Develops and implements communication strategies supporting the needs of the Medical Director.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of the Medical Director’s operational areas of responsibility.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience to include overseeing and executing office operations.
  • At least one year of experience as an executive assistant to include complex project scheduling experience.
  • Experience working effectively with senior administrators and professionals, including sensitivity to handling confidential information and urgent matters in a thoroughly professional and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated effective and professional communication style.
  • Ability to manage complex time-sensitive scheduling needs related to Harborview’s pillar goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of office technologies such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint with a technological aptitude for learning additional software.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, handle multiple projects, problem solve and exercise judgment in a highly dynamic environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
