HSS is currently seeking an Executive Housekeeper (EH) for our operation in Pittsburg, PA area.
Job purpose
The EH has complete responsibility and accountability for onsite HSS Housekeeping. Provide support and knowledge to the Executive Housekeeper and management staff at the resort. Consistently meet quality and timeliness standards along with budget objectives. In addition, maintaining a professional and effective relationship with property management. An Executive Housekeeper must ensure company mission statement and values are followed, with the best interests of the company, its employees and customers as their motivator.
Duties and responsibilities
QUALITY
• Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence at the site level, according to site and HSS standards.
• Establish and monitor site goals.
• Attend all property management mandatory meetings. (Staff, budget, security, others).
• Ensure site contractual obligations, company policies, standards and procedures are followed.
• Perform monthly operational Reviews.
• Inspect units daily and complete the required amount of report cards per week.
• Be knowledgeable of carpet cleaning procedures / equipment of each site.
• Monitor and strive to improve site quality scores and report monthly scores (RCI, II, West, Internal) to management.
• Provide orientation to all new employees.
• Perform weekly departmental meetings.
• Perform weekly staff meetings.
• Training staff, both existing and new recruits
• Facilitate guidance to the Assistant in monitoring progress of Staff.
• Handle all Trainee candidates at the resort.
• Provide support to the Area Supervisor on recruiting, hiring and training qualified employees.
• Ensure a safe working environment on site and office.
TIMELINESS
• Prepare weekly schedules based on forecast. This will ensure accurate staffing levels in order to have timeliness on large turns.
• Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service.
• Willing and able to perform any and all duties related to site operation.
• Ensure a sense of urgency exists at each site so that units are turned on time.
• Ensure all weekly reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Personal timeliness, be prompt for all appointments and meetings.
BUDGET
• Assist and give feedback of site budgets as necessary.
• Review weekly site budget performance and enforce recommendations for improvement.
• Quote prices for additional products / services with the assistance of Area Managers, Corporate Director of Housekeeping or VP of Staffing.
MANAGER
• Recommend salary adjustments for staff as per company guidelines.
• Maintain adequate inventory and equipment supplies. (Linen and House Wares)
• Approve site expenses up to
CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Build professional relationship with resort management and other key members of the resort staff.
• Be approachable & always follow up.
• Create strong, positive customer relations.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems to meet customer’s needs.
• Conduct performance appraisals of staff as dictated by company policy.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to HSS personnel.
• Be knowledgeable of the complete resort.
• Solve guest complaints promptly.
• Have an open line of communication with resort management.
• Maintain open line of communication with front office.

Working conditions
Work is performed in a hotel setting and requires the ability to sit and stand for an extend amount of time. Work is also conducted outdoors and requires the ability to walk and drive for an extended amount of time.
Physical/Visual requirements
• Frequent mobility, standing, walking, stair climbing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
• Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping and reaching
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, and other office equipment.
• Perform daily walk through of the property.
