FlatRate Moving is hiring: Executive Assistant Legal in New York

We are seeking an Executive Assistant Legal to become a part of our team! The successful candidate will provide essential support to our contracts department, assisting with the preparation, review, and administration of all contracts including government contracts. This role involves close collaboration with attorneys, project managers, and other team members to ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and contractual obligations.You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal document and Government contracts
• Conduct research on government contract regulations, such as FAR and DFARS, and update the team on relevant changes
• Assist with drafting and editing contract documents, modifications, amendments, and other related legal documents
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal contracts
• Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Record and store client information

​Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required; specialization in government contracts preferred
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Familiarity with legal research
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, if required.
• Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
