Job Description
For over 15 years, The Dorm has been a mission-driven, client-centered mental health organization that has been bringing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to young adults, ages 18-30.
We are looking for a passionate Executive Function Coach who is certified in New York to work in-person with young adults to help them develop and enhance their executive functioning skills, such as organization, time management, planning, goal setting, and decision making.

What You Will Do:
Conduct initial assessments to identify clients' strengths and areas for improvement in executive functioning
Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
Provide group and individual coaching sessions for The Dorm clients and family members, as applicable
Provides coaching off-site in the community and in clients’ apartments as clinically indicated
Monitor clients' progress and adjust coaching strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement
Collaborate with clients' families, teachers, or employers (if applicable) to support their overall development and success
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client sessions and progress.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in executive functioning coaching
Work with research team to objectively track client EF progress and to evaluate global EF programming
Work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team
Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director, tri-weekly group supervision, and co-facilitator supervision as indicated by direct supervisor
Responsible for at least 25 hours of client work per week
Work up to 2 evenings per week
Able to manage weekend programming as directed by the Chief Clinical Officer
What You Need To Qualify:
Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, social work or a related field
Must have the appropriate certification for New York
Previous experience in coaching, teaching, or counseling, particularly with a focus on executive functioning skills
Strong understanding of executive functioning and its impact on academic, professional, and personal success
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed
Experience working with individuals with ADHD, learning disabilities, or other executive functioning challenges

Our clinicians are compensated at a rate of $125/hr in addition to their full time salary and benefits!
