About the Role
The Company is seeking an Area Executive Director for Hospice Services in the Kansas City and Missouri areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple hospice programs, providing support and mentorship to site-level leaders, and ensuring the implementation of company policies and mission. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the hospice programs, including staffing, hiring, budgeting, leadership, and marketing. The Area Executive Director will also be tasked with maintaining and meeting set standards and goals, as well as assuring the long-term fiscal viability of the programs. Applicants for the Area Executive Director position must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in hospice operations management, with at least 2 years in multi-site hospice or home health leadership. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in budgetary responsibilities, a broad knowledge of federal and state regulations, and outstanding leadership and managerial skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as are problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Registered Nurse, but this is flexible for the right candidate. Local candidates with current hospice or home health leadership experience and exceptional local market knowledge are preferred.
