About the Role
The Company is in need of a Hospice Executive Director to oversee and manage the daily operations of the hospice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the office operates effectively, planning and organizing tasks and resources to meet strategic goals, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and policies, particularly those related to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid. This role involves providing leadership and support to the hospice team, including coaching, and being actively involved in the interview and selection of staff. The Executive Director will also be the primary point of contact for patient care communication with families and physicians, as well as monitoring the hospice's census and staffing trends. Applicants for the Hospice Executive Director position at the company should hold an active in-state RN license and preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role, with a focus on hospice and leadership experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, including experience with profit and loss statements, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills. The role demands a dedicated individual who can ensure the success of the agency by maintaining a departmental budget, overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs, and being available to address the needs of the business and the team.
