About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing safe, inclusive spaces for young people to engage in self-directed, creative play. The successful candidate will be a visionary, community-oriented leader with a deep passion for the power of play in child development and community well-being. This role requires a hands-on approach to fundraising, strategic planning, and operational leadership, with a strong emphasis on financial sustainability and growth. The Executive Director will work closely with a team of dedicated staff and a Board of Directors to ensure that the organization's programs and expansion efforts are aligned with local needs and fully integrated and valued by the community. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include driving the organization's strategic vision, maintaining strategic oversight of daily operations, and building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a background in nonprofit management, experience in fundraising, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They should be adept at providing fiscal oversight, managing budgets, and fostering a culture of transparency, integrity, and shared decision-making. The role demands a leader who can think strategically, prioritize the organization's mission, and make informed decisions in the face of challenges. Cultural competency and the ability to engage with and understand the unique needs of different marginalized groups are essential.
