About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Winn Career Development Awards. This role is pivotal in overseeing a transformative two-year program that supports the career development of early-stage investigator physicians, with a focus on advancing health equity through clinical trial research and mentoring. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive oversight and strategic leadership, ensuring the program's alignment with its mission. This includes working with founders to set and implement a long-term vision, as well as leading fundraising and resource development efforts to secure financial support from diverse sources, particularly pharmaceutical companies. The Executive Director will also be involved in marketing and communications to raise awareness of the program, as well as in the application, review, and tracking process to maintain a rigorous and equitable selection of candidates. Applicants for the Executive Director position should hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, with training in clinical trials or healthcare administration highly desirable. A minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in medical education, including managing large-scale educational initiatives and multimillion-dollar budgets, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in setting strategic goals, implementing cross-functional collaboration, and managing complex projects. Experience in fundraising, curriculum development, and a deep commitment to advancing health equity are essential. The role also demands expertise in fostering alumni networks, maintaining professional development relationships, and a flexible, innovative approach to program management in a fast-paced environment.
