Greater Orange Area of Literacy is hiring: Executive Director in Orange

Our non-profit, Greater Orange Area Literacy Services AKA GOALS, is seeking an executive director! This is a part-time role located in Orange Texas that does require reimbursable travel. The expected pay for this role is $15.00 per hour. The current work hours of this role are weekly Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-1 PM. There is room for flexibility in this role. Candidates selected for an interview will receive the PTO summary for this role before their scheduled interview. Candidates can expect the role to consist of the below bulleted item. The below-bulleted items are a summary of the role and doesnt include other duties, and responsibilities that may be assigned in the future. Report to GOALS Board of Directors. Have a Financial Report and Directors report available for all Board Meetings. Responsible for implementing the policies and objectives of the Board. Develop a yearly budget. Develop new funding sources, write grants,associated documents, and file grant expenditures. Works with Board, Staff, and Grant Makers to ensure that programs and activities achieve the mission of GOALS. Supervises the Program Coordinator, volunteers, and monitors program progress. The Executive Director is the primary voice of GOALS. They must develop and maintain strong business relationships in our area with peers, donors, industry, associations, and the media. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable with public speaking. The Executive Director is responsible for, and verifies, the payroll of employees, all accounts payable, financial reconciliations (checkbook), payroll taxes, and W-2 forms for employees. Responsible for providing all financial reports needed for the accountant. Responsible for ensuring all financial documentation is easily accessible and organized. Fundraising leader.
