The Executive Director serves as the keystone of the organization, providing visionary leadership and comprehensive oversight across all operational facets of the organization. This dynamic role demands a balance of strategic acumen and compassionate service, ensuring excellence in our residential treatment programs and aligning with our mission of fostering holistic recovery. Primary responsibilities include the development and execution of strategic objectives, financial stewardship, program oversight, staff leadership, community engagement, and advocacy.

 

As the face, the Executive Director cultivates robust partnerships, secures funding streams, and navigates the complexities of non-profit management to advance our goals. This individual steers organizational policy, orchestrates clinical and administrative operations, and embodies our values in action. Leading by example, the Executive Director ensures that our therapeutic community flourishes, overseeing and promoting quality care that integrates our diverse service offerings effectively. This leadership extends to fostering a culture of innovation, driving program enhancements, and setting rigorous quality assurance standards to measure, evaluate, and elevate the impact of our work on clients and the broader community.

 

Detailed Duty Statement:

·         Direct and oversee all aspects of organizations operations, including clinical services, financial management, community relations, and administration.

·         Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values and respond to the dynamic needs of our clientele and community.

·         Ensure financial health through sound fiscal management, budget development and oversight, and strategic financial planning in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

·         Lead fundraising initiatives, engage in donor relations, and identify new funding opportunities to support the organization’s growth and service offerings.

·         Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the treatment team, fostering professional growth, high performance, and alignment with the core values of compassion, integrity, and excellence.

·         Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery, program development, and staff training.

·         Act as the chief ambassador, representing the organization to a wide array of stakeholders, including community groups, partner agencies, and governmental entities.

·         Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining necessary certifications and licenses for the organization and its staff.

·         Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and retention of a high-quality, diverse staff.

·         And Other Duties as requested.

 

Qualifications Needed:

·         A minimum of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         At least seven years of progressive senior management experience in a healthcare or non-profit organization with significant exposure to substance use disorder treatment.

·         Demonstrable successful fiscal management track record, including budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.

·         Experience in strategic planning, organization development, and team leadership.

·         Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and government officials.

·         Strong ethical grounding with an understanding of non-profit healthcare facilities' legal and regulatory environment.

·         Excellent communication and public speaking abilities to articulate the organizations mission and vision effectively to diverse audiences.

·         Demonstrated capacity to oversee and cultivate a performance-led culture within the organization while setting goals, monitoring work, and evaluating results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met.

·         Strategic thinker with the ability to balance the hands-on management of day-to-day operations with long-term strategic planning.

·         High financial acumen with experience managing financial operations and developing successful fundraising strategies.

·         Strong commitment to organizations compassion, integrity, inclusivity, innovation, and collaboration values.

·         Required to maintain CPR & First Aid certification and possess a valid California Driver's license.
