AWS Cloud Cybersecurity Architect

Compensation: $72 - $95/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Cybersecurity Architect to join a dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This role involves developing and managing cloud security strategies, ensuring a secure architecture, and aligning cloud solutions with business and compliance needs. The ideal candidate should have experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and be adept at both strategy and hands-on implementation. The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including faculty and non-IT professionals, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal security teams and stakeholders to implement cybersecurity best practices across multi-cloud environments.
- Develop and manage comprehensive cloud security strategies aligned with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Partner with technical teams to define cybersecurity requirements, solution designs, and architecture for cloud environments.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify risks, perform security reviews, and design innovative, secure cloud-based solutions.
- Create and manage policies, procedures, and standards for cloud security, ensuring regulatory alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks in PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud setups.
- Provide technical guidance for cloud security solution implementation and configuration.
- Oversee secure migration processes from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC).
- Develop and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for cloud security.
- Stay updated on threat landscapes and emerging industry trends.
- Participate in security architecture reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and development teams for secure cloud-hosted applications.
- Work with GRC teams to manage and address identified risks.
- Document cloud security architectures, processes, and configurations for audit and compliance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloud security architecture with an emphasis on AWS and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, security practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Expertise in securing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models and understanding hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven experience in cloud risk management, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS security services, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience working with enterprise architecture, DevOps, and development teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be highly articulate and capable of presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with "Research as a Service" (RaaS) and its implications for cloud security is beneficial.
