City Haul is hiring: Intermodal CDL Driver in Chicago

Company Description

City Haul, Inc. is a family-owned and operated Intermodal drayage company with centrally located terminals serving major intermodal hub locations in the Chicago area. We specialize in import and export container freight as well as domestic intermodal. Our fleet of company tractors and drivers, as well as owner-operators, are ELD compliant and operate within a 250-mile radius of Chicago. We are hazmat certified and bonded and have a private tri-axle chassis pool. We also offer overweight services for international cargo in Illinois and Indiana.

Role Description

• Come join our team as a Company Truck Driver and contribute to our success! This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chicago, IL. Driver will be responsible for transporting shipping containers to and from various terminals and warehouses in a safe and timely manner. Haul freight containers secured to company-owned and pool chassis. Local runs, home daily, with a competitive pay package hauling intermodal containers. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Minimum of 2 years verifiable driving experience
• Safe driving record
• Ability to operate and drive a variety of Intermodal equipment.
• Experience with securing cargo for transport.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to navigate and use electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Strong work ethic
