DescriptionModern general dentistry practice in quiet Arlington neighborhood on Mass. Ave. (plenty of free parking) is offering a position for a Dental Assistant, part-time or full-time. New construction office built for an exceptionally safe and healthy patient and staff environment. Looking for a professional, kind, Dental Assistant to join a caring staff; to make a real difference in the lives of patients by encouraging excellent dental health. (sick days, paid holidays, vacation time, health coverage, 401k Retirement Plan).Responsibilities•Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment•Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team•Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients' mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed•Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums, after procedures•Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materialsQualifications•Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)•3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant•Current BLS/CPR certification is required•Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred•Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed
