Watts Family Dentistry is hiring: Dental Assistant in Hampton

Watts Family Dentistry is hiring a dental assistant for our busy dental practice. You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and some dental hygiene tasks. To do well in this role you should have a dental x-ray certification and provide a great level of patient care.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures

Assist dentists during dental procedures

Take and develop dental x-rays

Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures

Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care

Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment

Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow

Assist with front office tasks as needed

Skills/Position Requirements

Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices

Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays, certification required

Solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology

Familiarity with medical imaging software and equipment

Ability to accurately document medical information using Denticon or similar software

Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures

Proficient in maintaining aseptic technique during procedures

Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
