Janitor Job at GHP Media, Inc. in West Haven

Seeking fulltime Janitor for our business office and plant. Responsibilities include sweeping and general floor care, vacuuming, trash removal and restroom cleaning on a daily basis along with general housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior of building including vacuuming carpet and sweeping floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Disinfect Customer Lounge rooms
• Replace paper products in break rooms, restrooms and coffee room
• Keep track of cleaning supply inventory
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Complete minor repairs like changing lightbulbs and unclogging toilets
• Complete a janitorial checklist at the end of the shift
• Additional housekeeping tasks as assigned
• Follow all safety rules
• Adheres to company policies and procedures

Work Hours:

• 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, beginning at 5 am with overtime possible

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must pass background check
• Work well independently and have strong time management skills
• Handle physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing and lifting at least 50 lbs.
