Position Summary: Ensure property is maintained in a clean and organized manner at all times.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Dusting (i.e. Furniture, Window Seals, Vents, etc.).
  • Sweeping and mopping (i.e. Non-carpeted Areas, etc.).
  • Vacuuming (i.e. Offices, Hallways, Offices, etc.).
  • Washing windows.
  • Clean and disinfect Kitchen as needed.
  • Daily cleaning of toilets, urinals, sinks and porcelain fixtures.
  • Empty trash receptacles on a daily basis.
  • Inform Office Manager when the ordering of supplies is required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles - at minimum monthly car washes.
  • General maintenance of property when needed.
  • Complete Work Orders as arise.
  • Assist Summer Lunch Bunch Coordinator with all Summer Program Needs
    • Preparation of sites and Food Pantry/Warehouse before Summer
    • Running of sites throughout the Summer
    • Finishing Paperwork and reports at the end of Summer
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Kettle Season assistance:
    • Assist as a Christmas Driver during kettle season.
    • Work closely with Christmas Coordinator and Corps Officer on all aspects of fund raising and Christmas related activities.
    • Assist in delivering kettles and necessary equipment (bell, apron, ID tag, etc.) to Bell Ringers at designated kettle sites.
    • Ensure necessary supplemental supplies and equipment (bells / kettles) are maintained in assigned vehicles.
    • Assist in ensuring all kettles, bells, and aprons are safely taken into Corps upon return to building.
    • Assist in emptying kettles and separating coins from bills in accordance with Salvation Army Policy (Always requires presence of two unrelated persons).
    • Assist in organizing kettles and other necessary supplies for the next day's activities.
    • Work kettle sites as assigned by Christmas Coordinator / Corps Officer during breaks between scheduled kettle pickups
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Office building cleaning experience (preferred)
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Capability to drive and handle a box refrigerated truck and a Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Vehicle.
  • Basic knowledge in the use of cleaning machinery (i.e floor buffer, carpet cleaners, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to organize and keep track of equipment and supplies.
  • Available for locking/closing building after hours and know what to do in an emergency situation.
Computer Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
  • Must have and maintain a current valid chauffeur's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) or gain chauffeur's endorsement within 30 days.
  • Current ServSafe certification, or gain certification with 60 days.
