Heat Treat Janitor (South Gate, CA)

• Starting wages are $18.00/hr. to $24.00/hr.
• Shift differential for graveyard shift (+$4.50/hr.)

Astro Aluminum Treating was founded in 1967 and remains today a family-owned and operated business. Astro provides aluminum treating services on some of the largest and complex structures used in the aerospace market. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience with industrial manufacturing or general labor is preferred
• Availability to work weekends may be required and overtime work as required
• 
  DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Mop department bathroom and kitchen floors, sweep trash and debris in production yard, general cleaning (sweeping) trash and debris, wood, steel beams, and metal bars.
• Organize steel racks and pallets with use of a forklift. Operate forklift, Fill forklift propane tank(s).
• Operate motorized sweeper.
• Assist racking customer parts and load aluminum parts, cover customer parts with plastic or tarps to protect from elements, work with banding equipment to secure parts.
  
  • In house training and certification of forklift prior to operation
  • In house training and certification of sweeper machine prior to operation
  • In house training and certification of propane fill prior to operation
