Construction Delivery Driver & Equipment Operator

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver/Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering parts and materials to construction job sites, organizing and handling materials, and assisting with on-site operations. This role also requires the ability to operate machinery such as mini excavators, trenchers, fork lifts, skid loaders and other equipment as needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Material and Equipment Delivery: Safely transport parts, materials, equipment and returns to and from various job sites using company vehicles.
  • Organization: Ensure materials are organized and stored efficiently at job sites and warehouse, maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Material Handling: Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the job site as needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate machinery, such as mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipment, according to job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Coordination: Communicate with site supervisors and project managers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating construction equipment, such as mini excavators or trenchers, etc. is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle and equipment maintenance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in construction or material handling is beneficial.

Experience Level:

  • Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in construction, material and equipment handling, or a similar role, with a background in operating machinery like mini excavators, trenchers, forklifts, and skid loaders.
  • Required: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Skills/Knowledge: Basic vehicle and equipment maintenance knowledge is a plus, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
