Type of Position:
12-month contract position to start. Possible for extension, good chance long term for direct hire.
Candidate Requirements:
This role is working for a major defense contractor. Candidates must be either US Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) to be eligible for this role. Candidates on CPT, OPT, H1B or TN visas are not eligible for this role. This company is NOT open to corp2corp (c2c) or corp2hire (c2h).
Job Location:
Richmond, KY (on site at the Blue Grass Army Depot)
Compensation:
$40.00/hr to $45.00/hr (depending on experience). There may be some additional flexibility for well-qualified candidates. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Job Description / Duties:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major federal government contractor – and non-profit organization that seeks to translate scientific discovery and technology advances into societal benefits to hire a Master Scheduler. The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining feasible master schedules and building plans across multiple programs. This role requires a high degree of independence in data collection, analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure production and performance goals align with customer and business expectations. This position requires the ability to effectively balance competing priorities while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to meet project and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain integrated master schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequencing and operations to meet business timeframes and deadlines.
• Collect and analyze data to allocate resources and coordinate schedules for large, complex projects or groups.
• Develop forecasts, interpret demand, and assess requirements for human, facility, equipment, and material resources.
• Identify and evaluate risks, proposing alternative recovery schedules to resolve conflicts.
• Communicate schedule conflicts and project statuses to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with planner/schedulers to ensure scheduling is completed on time.
• Serve as a liaison with management to resolve production and performance issues.
• Initiate contact with internal and external stakeholders to proactively address and resolve problems.
• Coordinate and schedule employee development and training based on departmental needs.
Required Skills / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related / relevant field. Bachelor’s Degree of some type is required.
• 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing integrated master scheduling, or equivalent education and experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external resources.
• Proficiency in technical tools and software relevant to scheduling and resource management.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
• Experience utilizing Primavera P6 is highly desirable as that’s what we use. Experience with other similar software (such as Deltek Open Plan) is also relevant.
• Candidates who are eligible for (or already have) secret clearance are highly desired.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
• This role works normal business hours (day shift) – and will be 40 hours per week.
• This will be an onsite role (no remote work).
• Occasional overtime is possible (and any OT would be paid at 1.5x).
• We are seeking candidates who are local to Richmond, KY (candidates who are willing to relocate may be considered).
