Summary: The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure optimal efficiency and meet customer demand. This role involves analyzing production capabilities, coordinating with various departments (such as procurement, manufacturing, and logistics), and managing inventory levels to align with production plans. The Scheduler will utilize advanced planning software and tools to create accurate forecasts, monitor production progress, and adjust schedules as needed to mitigate delays or resource constraints. This position plays a crucial role in driving the company’s productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a master production schedule, reviewing expedited requests and assisting in the daily production schedules along with driving adherence to the appropriate planning horizons.
  • Develops and/or maintains capacity model inputs and outputs based on demonstrated output standards / actuals and estimates of new capacity conditions.
  • Ensures capacity is level loaded based on available capacity to optimally cover demand; includes the coordination of all new product introductions, end of life close-outs, and plant labor schedule.
  • Works closely with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure adequate raw materials and packaging items are available when needed and assists in implementing a JIT mindset.
  • Develops metrics to measure manufacturing performance to schedules (lead time, schedule attainment, and schedule adherence) and works with Manufacturing to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supports the SIOP team with raw materials and finished goods recommended inventory plans for the site. Develops strategies and actions to optimize this plan in a manner that supports customer needs while also minimizing inventory levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to shift between being in the details and analyzing from a high level.
  • Extremely proficient with EPR systems (NetSuite experience preferred but not required).


Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field required.
  • At least five years of related experience required.
  • Spanish proficiency a plus – not required.
