Our client is the largest government agency in Los Angeles County with over 30 departments in the County.

Role Overview:

The Business Solutions Analyst is instrumental in bridging organizational goals with tailored solutions, such as Apptio Cost Transparency and IT Planning. This role involves identifying opportunities for process optimization, conducting needs analyses, and designing actionable business cases. By translating business requirements into technical specifications, the Analyst ensures the successful implementation of scalable and efficient solutions. Additionally, they oversee the integration of systems while ensuring alignment with business strategies and compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform business process analyses to recommend and implement IT solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Evaluate costs, benefits, and feasibility of systems.
• Oversee system integration, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Ensure alignment with information security policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in structured analysis, systems design, cost-benefit analysis, and IT architecture.
• Familiarity with business process engineering, lifecycle management, and emerging IT technologies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Apptio Cost Transparency and Planning, Cloudability, and FinOps frameworks.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

Experience:

• 5+ years in IT project analysis, including 3+ years in business systems analysis and design.

Preferred:

• 1+ year in IT billing, financial forecasting, cloud cost management, and tools like Apptio Cost Transparency, IT Planning, and Cloudability.

Education & Certifications:

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).

Required Certifications:

• Apptio Recognized Technology Business Management Analyst (TMBA)
• FinOps Certified Practitioner
