Business Intelligence Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Responsible for the development of analytical tools and reports that support the decision making process of the business. The team member will have an understanding of the Microsoft suite of BI development tools (SSRS, Power BI, Power Automate) and can efficiently extract relevant data from a multitude of sources to produce the reports requested by the executive team.
Essential Functions
- Discover and translate analytical trends within our data to team members within Business Operations
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Must be able to create and Peer Review basic to advanced SQL queries, with the desire to advance in capabilities.
- Able to listen to business needs and convert those into business requirements with minimal direction.
- Create new SSRS reports, or Power BI reports based on requirements collected.
- Able to understand project plans and the end goal that is trying to be achieved and convert those requirements into action plans.
- Maintain existing solutions while looking for opportunities to improve.
- Collaborate with other team members to consolidate the data landscape to reduce the development time and increase consistency among BI solutions.
- Track, monitor and communicate changes in reporting platforms and data sources to provide such insight to larger BI and IT teams.
- Willing and able to mentor Jr BI Analysts on the team.
- Actively participates in team meetings and provides valuable insights to help advance the team.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time, must be able to lift to 30 lbs., Must be able to drive
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
- 2+ Years of experience using SQL
- Familiar with the MS Power Platform
- 2+ Years of experience troubleshooting stored procedures and other TSQL code
Preferred Education and Experience
- Microsoft Stack (SQL, SSRS)
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Power Automate
- Power BI (or similar Front end BI tool)
