Position Description:
This is a position will be assigned to the Business Analytics Team in the Foreign Exchange Trading Group located at our Firm's offices in New York, N.Y.
The selected candidate will learn the rudiments of foreign exchange and banking concepts through a course of projects and training within various groups in the FX Department, as well as through a set of daily responsibilities. The selectee will play an important role in analyzing key metrics related to the FX business line in support of the Trading, Sales Desks and Product lines located in Boston, London, Luxembourg, Tokyo and Hong Kong. The candidate will build a solid understanding of our Client base, product offerings, core system applications, trading and banking IT processes needed to be able to participate effectively in all aspects of FX product delivery, and help with the coordination and execution of the team's product and data analysis and client/ regulatory reporting initiatives.
Product design, data governance, testing and implementation, pre-implementation analytics, Client, Regulatory, TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) reporting and post trade performance attribution are critical components of the product offerings of the team, which demonstrate our expertise as an implementation and FX execution outsourcing partner. This places BBH in a position to act as a thought leader and an integral partner in this growing industry where clients look to their providers for essential guidance and insight to the complex nature of Foreign Exchange products.
Candidate Opportunities and Responsibilities:
Provide technical and analytical support for FX / Ecommerce data projects; contribute ideas and solutions in regular FX Business Analytics/ Product team deliberations;
Assist in developing, implementing and automating management and regulatory reporting flows, and post trade attribution assessments based on BBH and third party transactions activity: present conclusions to departmental representatives;
Play an important role in assuring FX data integrity; review data processes to help improve the dynamic mix of referential FX data across our enterprise;
Assess and execute internal and external requests for FX data reporting; determine optimal software tools/ methods of automating the collation and presentation of information;
Plan, prioritize, update projects schedules on a regular basis, working with different global business lines and systems departments;
Develop proficiency in using standard FX data sources e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters;
Successfully multitask projects within permitted resource and time constraints;
Attend client and vendor meetings; assist in formulating solutions to meet client needs;
Be consistently alert to current FX industry initiatives and trends that impact BBH.
Qualifications: 4 yr college degree from an accredited institution
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Genuine interest in the global financial markets
Proven leadership abilities as exhibited through work/ college experience; excellent references
Knowledge of one or more of Python, MATLAB, SAS, STATA, R, SQL; Excel. Python is widely used by our BA team - the successful applicant will have intermediate expertise or be willing to quickly learn sufficient Python to write scripts to locate, identify, translate, transform and transmit data to internal and external clients
Basic knowledge of standard quantitative financial tools
First class organizational, analytical and problem solving capabilities

Salary Range
75,000 - 95,000
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
