KKR REAL ESTATE CREDIT AND K-STAR INVESTMENT SERVICES OVERVIEW KKR Real Estate Credit was formed in January 2015 to invest in real estate credit products and complement KKR Real Estate's private equity platforms. Within KKR Real Estate Credit, we seek opportunities where we have a sourcing, underwriting or execution advantage by leveraging KKR's brand, industry knowledge and relationships. KKR Real Estate Credit currently invests through six separately capitalized vehicles across our Direct Lending and Securities portfolios and consists of 50 dedicated professionals based in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and London. K-Star Asset Management LLC ("K-Star") was formed in 2022 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of KKR. K-Star is a dedicated investment services platform that supports underwriting, asset management, loan origination, securities investing, risk management, and client experience for KKR Real Estate Credit as it continues to scale. The K-Star team includes industry specialists in special servicing, asset management, due diligence, and loan closing, among other functional areas. POSITION OVERVIEW K-Star will develop an innovative, forward-thinking technology platform that will provide modernized solutions to change the landscape of the real estate servicing industry. It will focus on building an intelligent, data-centric culture that requires a solid technological foundation where trusted and business-ready data is made available to the larger enterprise and leads to applying machine learning for automation of manual tasks. K-Star will curate a suite of PropTech systems to support the entire real estate ecosystem to include; onboarding, diligence, asset management, workout negotiation, financial analysis, modeling, reporting and covenant compliance, among many other servicing-related functions. K-Star is looking for a dynamic, organized, customer-focused Technical Business Analyst who will work closely with business partners to support and enhance the Firm's commercial real estate special servicing platform. The ideal candidate will combine their technical aptitude to learn and leverage features of the platform to improve business processes through automation, reports and data integration. They will be responsible for documenting current and future state diagrams by creating dashboards, use cases, data flow diagrams, swim lanes diagrams, workflow diagrams, screen mock-ups, etc. to clearly communicate with teammates and business partners. The role will also involve defining and creating user stories for support and new features, based on translating requirements out of customer solicitations. Individual must be an exceptional communicator with a goal towards action, a creative problem solver, and have the ability to build strong partnerships across the various KKR businesses. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively facilitate meetings, grooming calls, workshops, demonstrate brainstorming/consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors/business owners. Strong relationship building with business customers to understand their challenges and elicit requirements. Ability to write precise and clear technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the customer, business and/or technical team. Document, maintain and prioritize business requirements and specifications with business customers and third party application vendors. Provide project management responsibilities as needed for small to mid-sized projects. Communicate status reporting, executive updates, and ad hoc presentations. Assist with new feature development and maintenance of the Firm's special servicing and asset management platforms. Activities include but are not limited to the creation of custom workflows, custom reports, custom dashboards, data management, document management and management of security controls. Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor to the business unit to drive efficiencies, identify trends and seek out drivers of positive results. Ensure completeness and accuracy of data. Analyze the data captured and find anomalies and inconsistencies. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field required. 5 years combined experience working in a developer, product owner or business analyst role 2 years of troubleshooting application issues and system integration. Prior experience in real estate credit industry, commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) a plus. Demonstrated experience in strategy development, project management, design and development. Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, Agile. Foundation of knowledge with SQL, data modeling patterns and ability to self-serve on routine data analysis needs. Creation and management of Microsoft Excel financial models a plus. Exceptional leadership and communications skills with the ability to develop and communicate vision and complexity in a manner that inspires and motivates staff and stakeholders alike.
