Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Natural Gas Software Business Analyst to work with clients and an internal development team to deliver software solutions to the natural gas industry. This position requires a 'go getter' mentality and someone that is very self-motivated to uphold a standard of excellence in their work and performance. The position has high visibility with clients and projects and requires someone that is organized and takes ownership.

The position is ON-SITE at our corporate office in the Galleria area of Houston. This is not a remote or hybrid working position.

Responsibilities Include:
• Take support role in large software implementations for natural gas clients
• Participate in client discussions and document requirements
• Manage software development according to specifications
• Organize and prioritize software development to meet project milestones
• Perform testing of software functionality
• Provide client end user training and other documentation, as needed
• Assist with keeping product backlog, defect log, and other items updated
• Respond to client inquiries / issues / defects
• Identify requests that are out of scope and provide estimates for those items
• Participate in daily scrum process with the rest of the team
• Take ownership of role and specific tasks to see them through to completion

"Nice to Have" Experience:
• Experience in the natural gas industry, especially natural gas utilities
• Experience writing specifications for development
• Experience working directly with developers to review specifications
• Experience with Scrum Methodology Product Backlog / Sprints / Daily Scrum
• Experience with Unit, Functional, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience working with clients and with a team
